Yorktown HS Grad James Thompson Dies At 51

A Yonkers native and graduate of Yorktown High School, James M. Thompson Jr., died at his home in Brewster on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at age 51.

Thompson was born on March 11, 1968.

He was an over the road truck driver for Swift Transportation and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. James T. Breen Council #7490 of Sacred Heart in Patterson. He enjoyed working on cars, and fishing said the obituary.

Thompson is survived by his father and stepmother, James M. and Karen Thompson of Pawling, son, Cody Thompson of Yonkers; sister, Kelly Jaconetti (Jason) of Brewster; and niece Haley Jaconetti.

Friends and family may visit Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave. in Brewster on Monday, Aug. 26 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
